Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
You will be helping to prepare and serve breakfast at the Day Shelter for around 300 guests. Volunteers serve the meals from a cafeteria-style line and are asked to wear closed-toe shoes and be aware they may get their clothes messy (although an apron is available).
This is available for individuals or groups of no more than 5 people. Volunteers can be as young as 13, but anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. This can be a one-time service or scheduled on a reoccurring basis. Volunteers are needed from 6 to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday.
If you are interested in serving breakfast, please click on the “Respond” button on this page and complete the form. Please mark the days you are generally available (note: we are only open Monday-Friday). Once you complete the online form, a Day Shelter representative will follow-up with you by e-mail to schedule a day for you to volunteer.
