The CARE Center

Mission: To prevent child abuse and provide opportunities for healing and hope for children in Oklahoma County. Vision: To end child abuse in Oklahoma County. The CARE Center is Oklahoma County's children's advocacy center, and we are dedicated to preventing child abuse through education and helping children find their voice and begin to heal after abuse.

Since our inception in the early 1990s, our primary function has been helping children share their abuse stories in a safe environment for investigations and connecting families with resources that remove barriers to beginning the healing process. In 2017, The CARE Center launched its prevention education program to meaningfully support our vision of ending child abuse in Oklahoma County. The program is made up of two curriculums: Recognizing & Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect for adults and ROAR for young children.
