Volunteer: Companion Volunteer – Hospice SupportAs a Hospice Companion Volunteer with Suncrest Hospice, you will offer presence, comfort, and emotional support to patients and families during an important time in their lives. This role is centered on human connection: simply being there, listening, and providing companionship. Volunteers may spend time talking, listening to life stories, reading aloud, sharing music, watching a favorite show, or sitting quietly with a patient. Your presence helps reduce loneliness and brings reassurance to both patients and their loved ones. No medical care is provided or expected in this role. Volunteers are fully supported by the Suncrest Hospice team and receive orientation and training before being matched with a patient. This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity, and schedules are flexible based on your availability.
