Who We Are

WHAT IS A PARB? • A group of informed local citizens that review juvenile court cases where a child has been removed from their home due to abuse or neglect of the child • Functions in an advisory capacity to the court by making recommendations focused on ensuring the best interests of the child are met and trauma is reduced by helping identify and remove barriers to permanency • Provides detailed oversight of the case including: o accountability for parties o identification of community resources o Identify, highlight and address barriers and systemic issues that negatively impact the child welfare, court and foster care system
