Description

This Serve Moore volunteer event is to address an immediate need in South Oklahoma City for a family who had a property with several mobile homes badly damaged or destroyed as a result of the May 6th, 2015 tornado. Until now, this family has received very little assistance.

We will use any unskilled but ready to work volunteers to rake and bag debris from this property and put into on site dumpsters provided by the City of Oklahoma City. Any volunteers who have skills in demolition or chainsaw work will be asked to help take down damaged trees and take apart damaged structures.

Serve Moore will provide rakes, shovels, trash bags, work gloves, and dust masks for anyone who needs it. We will also provide tools like chainsaws and reciprocating saws for anyone who knows how to use them. If you have your own tools or safety equipment your thinking about bringing, go ahead and bring it - everyone is more comfortable using their own tools when available.

Arrive at Serve Moore HQ (224 S Chestnut Ave Moore, OK 73160) at 1pm this Saturday, August 29th. We will caravan to the home in need and work will go until about 5pm. Any paperwork necessary for volunteering will be filled out right at 1pm from anyone who needs to.
