Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma was founded in 1963 and is Oklahoma’s only regional theatre company that produces a year-round season of classic, family and contemporary productions. Lyric's season is comprised of full-scale professional plays and musicals presented between two venues: The grand 2,400-seat Civic Center Music Hall in Downtown Oklahoma City, and Lyric's intimate 279-seat Plaza Theatre located next to the organization’s offices in the heart of Oklahoma City’s Plaza District.
At its Plaza Theatre, Lyric needs volunteers to assist as Ushers and at the Merchandise table. Fall 2018 opportunities are now available for WHEN WE'RE GONE (new rock musical receiving its world premiere at Lyric; adult language) and the holiday favorite, Lyric's A CHRISTMAS CAROL.
