CAM has volunteer opportunities twice a month during the school year. All ages are welcome, under 6th grade must be accompanied by an adult guardian. These opportunities are come and go as needed and always happen on Saturday's. We offer a variety of different projects, from food banks to yard work and everything in between.
Helpful Information:
- Every volunteer opportunity is come and go as needed.
- Deadline to sign-up is the Tuesday before the event.
- Please let me know if you plan to meet at the location or if you would like
to carpool from our home, 819 Terrace Pl. Norman. - Please plan to bring your own lunch, including a drink for all events,
unless told otherwise. - Closed toed shoes required at all locations.
- Age limit sixth grade and older. However, younger children may come if
accompanied by a parent/guardian. - Please be sure to have an up-dated activity form on file. Forms are good from
May 2019- May 2020. You may request a form from Donna at cam-
inc@cox.net - The times listed are the time we need to be at the location.
Saturday, August 24:
Open Heart Resource Room (9:30AM -2:30PM) 2400 Classen Blvd, Norman
Their mission is to show God’s love by providing clothes, toys, and school supplies to Oklahoma children in out of home care.
- We will be helping with organizing donated items.
Saturday, September 7: Dog Fest (9:00 AM-3:00 PM)
Earlywine Park: 3101 SW 119th St., OKC
This is a family-and-dog-friendly festival benefiting Canine Companions for Independence. Come out and celebrate the life-changing assistance dogs the organization provides free of charge to recipients. More details can be found on line https://okcpetsmagazine.com/calendar/?event=29951802
We will be helping setup, manning booths, clean-up.

Saturday, November 2:
Feed the Children (9:00AM-Noon) 29 North McCormick Avenue
Their mission is providing hope and resources for those without life's essentials.
- We will be in their warehouse repackaging items to ship out to those in need

Restore OKC (9:30 AM-2:30 PM) 2222 NE 27th Street, OKC OK 73111
Restore OKC's ministry arms work with our community in three areas:
1. Education and Youth Development
2. Workforce Development
3. Access and Alleviation of Basic Needs
- We will be helping with a wide range of things, including the community garden and senior homes. More details when the date gets closer.
- 3:30-5:30 PM We will meet at the Hooper home (819 Terrace Pl., Norman) for a games and continue the study on Friendship/Dating: Godly expectations vs. worldly expectations.
- 6:00- 7:00 PM Dinner
Saturday, Dec. 7:
Breakfast with Santa: (8:00AM-11:00AM) Norman High School, 911 W. Main St.,
This will be our 5th year to help with this free community activity. It is sponsored by The Virtue Center, whose mission is to saves lives and heals families by providing prevention services and outpatient treatment for substance abuse, gambling and mental health issues.
- We will help with set-up and tear down, serve breakfast, and help littles with crafts.
The Hugs Project: (Noon-4:00 PM) 4449 NW 50th St
The Hugs project supports troops in harm’s way by send out care-packages. We will be helping with the big Christmas mail out.
5:00-6:30 PM We will meet at the Hooper home (819 Terrace Pl., Norman) for Dinner.
